Bio

From the moment I can remember, I have always had a passion for working with children. Even as a young child, when my mother would drop me off at daycare before work, I looked forward to helping in the baby room or anywhere I could assist with younger children. That passion continued to grow throughout my educational journey and ultimately confirmed my calling to teaching.

After completing my student teaching in 2nd and 3rd grade, I gained valuable experience working as a day camp counselor at the YMCA during college, where I developed a deeper appreciation for mentoring and supporting children. Since graduating from college, I have gained experience through substitute teaching, tutoring, and working as a part-time nanny. I have also had the opportunity to teach both 3rd and 4th grade, and I have truly developed a love for teaching 4th grade scholars.

As an educator, I believe teaching is more than a profession—it is a calling. I believe I have been gifted and called to teach the scholars placed in my classroom and those I will continue to encounter throughout my career. My passion lies in helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally while encouraging them to recognize their own potential.

My teaching philosophy centers on helping every child become the best version of themselves by striving to reach their full potential. I believe in setting high expectations while celebrating growth, no matter how small, because even 1% progress each day leads to meaningful success. I value building strong relationships with my students and fostering a safe, nurturing, supportive, and loving learning environment where all children feel comfortable, confident, and motivated to learn.
