Course Description

Week 7- Journal Entry 1 - What does COVID-19 stands for?What is your interpretation of the COVID -19? What does this time mean for you?
                             Entry 2- How has the pandemic affected you from day one starting with the school closures in Dallas?The Lockdown Effecct?                                              TheUnited States?
                                            The World? 
                                             How did you cope? (Recalling the first days of the pandemic)
                             Entry 3-  How have you adjusted to life during quarantine? Describe the life-changing events, episodes, struggles, joys,etc.
                                             (Describe in detailed stories from your perspective in the Present)
                             Entry 4-  How do predict the future? When do you predict this pandemic
                             Entry 5- Write an informal/formal letter to the COVID-19 survivors and include the condolences to the bereaved victims and                                                    their loved ones.
Week 8- Journal Entry 1- Describe an act of kindness you or someone you know has done during this pandemic.
                              Entry 2- Describe how religious  organizations have changed their way of gathering? For the better? Or Worse?
                              Entry 3- Is school better through virtual online technology or in person? How?Why? Explain your view.
                              Entry 4- Describe way you have changed your view your parents during this quarantine. 
                              Entry 5- Write an informal/formal letter to the doctors and nurse on the frontlines who are sacrificing themselves for                                                          others. (You may also includes the factory workers who are at risk for COVID-19 as they continue to manufacture                                                      products to suit our daily  needs.
Week 9- Journal Entry 1-  Find a Newspaper Article about COVID-19 Statistics in the death rate. How  has it flauxated over the past months?
                              Entry 2- Find a song/ rap lyrics to express your views on this pandemic.
                              Entry 3- List and define new vocabulary you learned about during your time at home. Explain their significance.
                              Entry 4- Create a 10 min skit as a radio station DJ hosting an interview of your family/friends about their views of this                                                         pandemic. (See instructions for survey questions and graphic organizer format) 
                              Entry 5- Write an informal/formal letter to the Trump administration voicing your views on the pandemic crisis and how it                                                   has effected America. List the long-term and short- term effects on our society as we know it now and in THE                                                           FUTURE.(For example, COVID-19 testing and vaccination for all citizens?)
 
All work is due in a timely manner each week to ensure your child's success. They may snap pictures and create video clips of their models as they progress. Please feel free if you have any questions or concerns.You may contact me at [email protected]
 
Attention Parents and Students:
 
If you do not have access to print, Week 7 packets will be available for pick up Monday- Friday during breakfast/lunch distribution at the Elementary campus between 10am-12pm. Packets will also be available on the daily bus routes.
 
You will also be able to turn in all previous completed packets during this time. Make sure your name is written on the front of each teachers cover sheet of  their packets. Example: 1st grade have Reading and Math, students name need to be on the Reading cover sheet, and the Math cover sheet within each total packet.
 
Answers can also be photocopied (scanned or picture taken with phone) to the teacher directly to avoid bring packet back to school and bus routes.
