Course Description
Dear Parents,
Hello,my name is Ms. K. Wabuge and your son/daughter is enrolled in my English I/III classes this semester. As you know, Gateway Charter Academy is continually monitoring the COVID-19 information and guidance provided by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), Center for Disease Control(CDC), and local health officials.
The homework packets will be uploaded to a link on our school website, [http://www.gatewaycharter.org,/]http://www.gatewaycharter.org, (click under the homework tab) and packets will be available as students pick up their meals throughout the week. Teachers will give correspondence with students at least once per week through email and will be documented on their communication log. English I/III students have been referred to http://www.sparknotes.com for their Shakespearean play study guides. Students may keep all STAAR Reading/Writing work inside an English I folder until further notice. For the Romeo and Juliet packet, I conducted a tutorial for students by showing them how to download the translation book/ study materials on http://www.sparknotes.com. They know what to do on this website.
In addition,remember to always think positive, keep high spirits, and "chin up," because we know that troubles don't last always.
